Exciting news just in!
My dad had his follow up cat scan today. The mass in his chest, or the "inflammatory pseudo tumor" as they called it, has shrunk in size significantly. And with no more fevers or night sweats, he was deemed "perfectly healthy." Yay! What an immense blessing! And the best news ever!
I love you, Dad! XOXOXO

My dad just emailed me the official report:
"SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT IN THE MASS/INFILTRATE POSTERIOR RIGHT LUNG. Lung mass, history of inflammatory pseudo tumor. This examination is compared with a previous study from 7/25/11. Findings: The right posterior nearly pleural base mass and surrounding infiltrate has improved significantly. There is a bronchus entering it directly with small area of air bronchogram. The structure continues to have marginal striation however measures 2.5 x 1.8 cm as opposed to 4.1 x 3.7 cm on 7/25/11. There are multiple right hilar lymph nodes that appear smaller than on the previous examination."
