The Week of the 4th July

It is our yearly tradition to watch the firework show at EE Robison Park on July 3rd. This year's show did not disappoint. On the 4th, we got up early and went to Six Flags. We have found that the best days to go to Six Flags are the Holidays - Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc. There were no lines, as expected. We rode a few rides and enjoyed the water slides at Skull Island. At 1:23pm, the thunder and lightning closed the park, but we had enough fun and were happy to get home. That evening, our friends, the Nelsons, came over to join in our pyro fun. The rain didn't even stop us. Genevieve made a sugar free cheesecake that was amazing! Once we ran out of things to light or burn, we called it a night.

Later that week, we spent a half a day on Lake Lanier. We rented a pontoon boat, brought some snacks and a cooler of drinks, and had a ball! What a perfect lake day. Greg and I were worried that the kids would quickly become bored without the internet close by, but the time sped by and we were sad when it was time to take the boat back. We had fun exploring islands, collecting shells, skipping rocks, feeding the ducks, swimming, and jumping, diving, and flipping off of the boat.

Look at what fun we had!
